Who we are
Built on one simple belief: no student should miss graduation because of money.
preEminent Foundation is the fundraising NPO behind preEminent Academy. We raise and steward donor funding to clear the final financial barriers that stand between students and qualification.
Our founding
Why we exist.
Many students are forced to stop just short of completion because of costs that seem small on paper but are huge in real life: a registration hold, an exam fee, a gap in tuition, or missing study resources.
preEminent Foundation was created to solve that exact problem for students enrolled at preEminent Academy. We focus on practical support that keeps a student in class, in exams, and on track to qualify.
Our approach is clear: verify the need, pay directly to the Academy, and report outcomes openly. That gives donors confidence and gives students a fair shot at finishing.
What drives us
Mission, vision, and values.
Mission
To raise and steward donor funding that removes financial barriers for preEminent Academy students so effort and potential, not income, determine who qualifies.
Vision
A South Africa where every student accepted into a preEminent Academy program has a realistic path to completion.
Values
- Integrity — we act as guardians of donor trust at every stage
- Transparency — every allocation decision is documented and reportable
- Stewardship — we treat donated funds as a privilege, not a resource
- Accountability — we measure what we fund and report what we find
- Impact — we prioritise real outcomes over busy activity
How we think
How support turns into outcomes.
Donor contributions, partner commitments, governance oversight, and trusted institutional relationships.
Application review, financial need verification, direct disbursement to preEminent Academy, and outcomes tracking.
Students retained in programs, fees cleared, and qualifications completed.
Qualified graduates entering the workforce with stronger economic prospects for themselves and their families.
How we operate
Governance and accountability.
Funding decisions
All disbursements follow a documented approval process with defined roles, review controls, and records retained for audit.
Stewardship controls
Donor funds are ring-fenced, allocated only to verified student needs, and tracked from receipt through disbursement and outcomes.
Reporting obligations
An annual outcomes report is shared with registered donors and partners, covering disbursements, completions, and governance compliance.
POPIA compliance
Personal information collected through forms, applications, and donations is handled in line with South Africa's POPIA requirements.
Conflict of interest
Any governance participant with a direct or indirect interest in an allocation decision is required to recuse themselves.
External accountability
Governance documentation is maintained for partner due diligence and corporate compliance requirements, including B-BBEE SED support.
