The application process

Submit your application

Complete the form below with your personal details, your program information, the cost you need help with, and a short motivation statement.

Acknowledgement within 2 working days

You will receive an email confirming that we have received your application and whether anything else is needed.

Review and assessment

Your application is reviewed against our eligibility criteria. We verify your enrolment and confirm the outstanding amount with the Academy.

Decision communicated

You will be notified of the outcome by email. If approved, we will confirm the support amount and how it will be paid.

Disbursement directly to preEminent Academy

Approved funds are paid directly to preEminent Academy on your behalf, and you will receive confirmation once the transfer is complete.

Before you apply

What to have ready.

Having the following ready before you start will help us process your application without delays:

  • Valid South African ID or passport
  • Proof of current enrolment at preEminent Academy (student card, acceptance letter, or official Academy enrolment confirmation)
  • Proof of the specific cost — a fees statement or official letter from preEminent Academy's student accounts department
  • Evidence of any existing funding you have (bursary letter, employer contribution, or similar, if applicable)
  • A motivation statement of 200–500 words explaining your situation, the specific barrier, and what completing your Academy program means for you

Documents are not uploaded directly through this form — after submission you will receive an email with instructions for submitting supporting documents securely.

Select at least one subject for the selected grade. You can select multiple subjects.

Base Funding Total (BFT): R0

Calculated using 2 academic months (January to November).

All funding requests are automatically allocated to group sessions and apply to full-year students.

This is a mid-course application and will only consider funding for the remaining part of the year.

Application FAQs

How long does the review process take?

Standard applications with complete documentation are reviewed as quickly as possible. Complex cases or those requiring verification may take longer.

What happens if my application is incomplete?

Incomplete applications are not reviewed. You will be told what is missing so you can complete it and reapply.

Do I need to be fully enrolled to apply, or can I apply before my Academy program starts?

You may apply once you have a formal acceptance or enrolment confirmation from preEminent Academy. If your enrolment depends on clearing a balance, include that information.

Can someone apply on my behalf?

No. Applications must be submitted by the student themselves. preEminent Academy may coordinate referrals for eligible students.

Will I get feedback if my application is declined?

Yes. All applicants receive a written response.

Is my personal information kept confidential?

Yes. All personal information is handled in accordance with POPIA. Your details are used only for reviewing and processing your application and are not shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
